Our client is a renewable energy development start-up based in Sydney. They are still early stage, but with significant international funding and an exciting growth plan. They are looking to hire their first legal counsel to help propel them into this next stage of growth. The successful candidate will liaise daily with the Managing Director and Commercial team as well as take full ownership of their legal function.
Due to the start-up nature of the business, cultural fit is a core component. However, it is likely that the successful candidate will also have:
- At least 4 years of post qualified experience
- Strong energy (ideally renewable energy) projects experience gained either in-house or with a private practice law firm
- The ability to work autonomously and with the business to achieve commercial goals
- A genuine interest in the renewable energy sector
While this would initially be a ‘stand alone’ role it is likely that the legal team will grow in the next few years. Aside from being a part of the future of renewable energy within Australia, this role will also come with a significant salary and impressive bonus potential both now, and into the future.
