Our client is a leading national commercial Law Firm with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth. They are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join their busy, mortgage recoveries team in Melbourne.

You will join a team of Lawyers and Paralegals, to assist with running files in Mortgage Recoveries/Collections.

As a Paralegal, your duties may include –

  • Drafting Notices, demands, pleadings and general correspondence
  • Drafting statements of claim, judgments, writs of possession
  • E-filing of court documents
  • Assisting with the general management and running of files
  • Telephone calls and general correspondence with clients, debtors and third parties
  • Regular follow ups of security packets, process servers, court documents etc
  • Preparing discharge of mortgages and arranging settlement, as required
  • Preparing files for eviction
  • Identifying complex, sensitive and high risk matters and escalating them to a Lawyer
