Our client is a leading global finance and investment management firm focused based in London. It works across: litigation finance, risk management, asset recovery and advisory activities. The company works with major law firms and corporate clients around the world from its principal offices in New York, London and Chicago.


The firm’s Litigation Finance team is a key area of focus and growth. The team provides financing to companies that range from startups to the Fortune 500 businesses on a single-case and portfolio basis.



The firm is looking to hire a Director with legal commercial litigation experience for its Litigation Finance team. The role will include identifying, analyzing, pricing and negotiating the firm’s investments. In addition, the Director will be responsible for overseeing the management of a substantial portfolio.


The role provides a great opportunity for experienced commercial litigation lawyer to join a growing innovative company and gain finance and business acumen.


Required experience

To be considered, you will need to demonstrate:


  • Commercial litigation experience gained at a leading private practice or international law firm (6+ years)
  • Expertise in assessing risk, business modelling would be an advantage
  • Commercial acumen in strategy, and negotiating
  • Experience with class actions
  • Experience of litigation involving complex financial products/services is a plus.



This is a great opportunity for a Senior Litigation lawyer to make the move to London into an in-house legal/business hybrid role. It will be a hugely competitive position but the salary compensation will be highly competitive and there will be the opportunity to grow with the business.
